As much as I would like to start this blog off completely chronologically, I don’t think it will happen, but this feels like a good place to start.

For years I was obsessed with S13 Silvias, staring at them for hours on end from Instagram accounts, mostly local Australian cars, but also Japanese cars that are sometimes almost impossible to track down the owner of.

I got my first chance to own a S13 Silvia in late 2021, when I traded my freshly restored Holden VS Clubsport to a bloke I'd never met in Perth named Alfie.

We had followed each other on Instagram and decided to do the swap, my car got loaded up on a truck with a boot full of spare parts, and so did the Silvia in Perth, then after a few weeks they both arrived at their new homes.

I was blinded by my obsession with S13’s and did not care about the condition of the car; honestly, it arrived at 7:30 am on a random weekday, and the first thing I did was get Chloe in the passenger seat and went and ripped it around the estate.

The car definitely needed some love, it had been drifted, the paint had faded dramatically in some places, had a dent in the roof and the rear quarters looked like they had been chewed on by a dog.

It didn’t take me long to start ordering parts and working on the car, I got it registered as soon as I could then immediately put some SSR LongChamp (15x9-15) and some Advan Onis (15x7.5+6) on it, which is a weird mismatch looking back pairing a stepped lip with a flat lip.

I got it retuned and it made a healthy 220rwkw. The car had an S15 SR20DET with a 2860 Turbo, pretty basic setup but on 15 inch tyres it partied.

I felt like I got alot done quickly such as swapping out the boot to remove the spoiler, putting my touch on the interior with a Nardi Gara 3, Trust Grex Shift Knob and a pair of Bride Ergos, I ended up trying to just drive it as much as I could at this point to enjoy it.
